I handcraft all my jewelry by traditional jewelry-making techniques without involving machines or 3d modeling, as I like doing things the old way. This unique wishing locket - a keepsake, is created using traditional metalsmithing techniques. The entire piece is hand sawn, filed, formed, and finished with great care and attention to detail. Therefore keep in mind that each piece is unique and slight differences and imperfections may occur. I use recycled sterling silver and gold as much as possible, as this is in the nature of working with precious metals. As well as keeping my scrap metal and recycling them regularly, I source my recycled metal from a traditional local foundry located in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. Except for oxidized finishes, sterling silver may tarnish over time when exposed to air. Tarnishing may occur more quickly when exposed to perfume, salty air, sulfur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine, or acidic skin pH. When not worn, pieces should be stored in zipper bags. Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, washing hands or dishes, or engaging in sports activities. For cleaning, use a proper polishing cloth only. Jewelry set with gemstones is delicate by nature. Impact, accidental drops, pressure, or contact with hard surfaces may cause stones to loosen or fall out. Such damage is considered wear-related or accidental. Pieces with gemstones and patina finishes are more delicate and may be damaged by chemical solutions. Clean gently using warm soapy water, dry immediately, and polish carefully. Gold-plated items may naturally wear over time; avoid excessive polishing or friction.
